Deaths.

John Molby d. Feb. 6, 1859. (Onondaga Co., N.Y.) ae. 41-9-22. George W. Molby d. Sept. 3, 1870 (Grave, Maplewood Cem., Barnes, Kan.) ae. 20-4-

Clarissa E. Molby d. Sept. 8, 1897 at Creston, Iowa.

(Grave Maplewood Cem., Barnes, Kansas). (No more deaths of this family had been recorded in this Bible). Maplewood Cemetery is on the farm homesteaded by C. D. Molby.

The following records were taken by F. A. Molby, 9-17-1952, from Maplewood Cemetery gravestone inscriptions.

Clinton D. Molby Mar. 28, 1906 (at home near Barnes)
   Harriet A. (his wife) d. Nov. 11, 1909.
      1st child, dates illegible
      Bertha D. child of C. D. and H. A. Molby, died young.
Asahel Earll died Nov. 13, 1902.
   Alvira J. his wife, d. Sept. 4, 1904.
      (a child of above, d. 9-18-1881, ae. 3-0-17.
a dau. of above, Emma Earll Petty, date illegible).
William H. Barlow d. 1924 (in August or September).
Emily M., his wife, d. 1917 (in August).
Franklin H. Molby d. Dec. 20, 1926 (Dec. 20, supplied by dau.
                                            Helen).
Ida J., his wife, d. May 12, 1930. (recorded in the Bible).
Irvin John Molby, died June 24, 1934 (from dau. Mrs. John Miller).
Malden Meigs d. June 15, 1914 (from Miss L. E. Voorhees).
Almira J. Meigs d. Feb. 27, 1891 (from niece, Mrs. John Miller).

From the data contained in these notes, it is evident that Clarissa Holcomb was dau. of Edmund Holcomb, b. Southwick, Mass., July 28, 1780, and his wife, Sally Cordell, b. in Weston, Conn., Oct. 20, 1783, who is evidently a dau. of John Cordell, b.1758.

It is thought that John Maltby died on his farm and is buried in the old cemetery on the Molby-Rouse farm, now leveled. Most of the bodies were removed to nearby cemeteries.

After John's death his family remained in this section for a number of years, but finally all went west--the last one in ca. 1888.
